GEBAT was a pioneer in EV fast charging. Today, we continue to push boundaries with a design philosophy centered on the real-world operational needs of our clients.

The engineers and technicians of GEBAT’s Research & Development team are the heart of the company.
We work with dedication, passion and professionalism, often in close collaboration with our customers’ technical teams.

Our team is made up of professionals with proven expertise in electric vehicle charging systems. Over more than 50 years of activity, and with centuries of combined experience, we have brought several innovations to market.

For example, we were among the pioneers of DC fast charging for industrial EVs, at a time when this technology was still considered “impossible”.
We also developed some of the first public DC fast charging stations for electric cars, installed in the USA and Japan almost 20 years ago.

Today, we continue to push technological boundaries, driven by a constant pursuit of true innovation and tangible benefits.

However, the projects we are most proud of are not necessarily the largest or most complex. Rather, they are the many tailored solutions we have developed in response to our customers’ needs, helping them solve specific challenges while improving safety, performance and efficiency.

Our engineering team provides optimized electronic designs for battery applications of all types, managing the entire lifecycle from initial requirement development to production launch and post-sales support.

To ensure precision and seamless integration, we utilize a standardized V-Model development process, which aligns easily with our clients’ internal workflows.

Production

GEBAT offers turnkey design and manufacturing with exceptional flexibility regarding volumes and variants. Our internal production facility is supported by a global network of approved Contract Manufacturers, ensuring a scalable and logistically efficient supply chain for any project size.

Our Laboratory Capabilities

GEBAT operates newly constructed electrical and electronic laboratories equipped with the latest generation of diagnostic and testing instrumentation.

Advanced Test Benches

Our test benches are configured for high-precision electrical efficiency and power quality analysis.

    High-precision 800 kW bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies.
  • Voltage Range.
    Fully digital control enabling high-power cycles with DC voltages up to 1200 V in regenerative mode.
  • Precision Control.
    Our proprietary active filters and digital converters ensure industry-leading stability and dynamic response.
  • Applications.
    We perform power cycling on the entire EV traction chain, including fuel cells, battery packs, DC/DC converters, electric motors, and inverters.

Specialized Instrumentation

  • Stabilized AC power supplies and electrical safety testers (Dielectric, Insulation, Earth Continuity).
  • Digital multimeters, high-voltage differential probes, and Hall-effect current sensors.
  • Infrared thermography and multi-channel data loggers.
  • Power quality and standby-power analyzers.

We are experts in certifying electronic converters, chargers, and transformers according to European and North American standards, providing full support through the pre-compliance and final certification phases.
